hello all

Well, it is good to be back!
I have been enjoying pseudo-forum activity on Facebook groups and on various listserve groups. It will be interesting to see whether we will migrate back here or exist here and there concurrently. I wonder what people consider the advantages of this place?

Hello Peter and all,
I've really missed this forum since it just disappeared one day some months ago. I was somewhat afraid it might never reappear so I started reading the Microlight Pilots facebook pages for my daily 'catch up' in microlighting. I don't have a login but I was able to freely read it, thanks to Vince (again!).
There is absolutely no possibility that I will join facebook and I'd rather be here anyway. I just hope that Vince is able to port the old version of the forum into this one.
To answer your question directly, it's because it's got all the 'stuff' the facebook group has but it is much more logical to have the different sections we have here, so that information is far easier to find. And - there's a better class of people here of course!!!

I agree completely, when it comes to threading

I deleted my Facebook account over a year ago. I'm much happier using forums like this as wading through the amount of crap on Facebook takes forever.
